Sega offers $776 million for Irate Birds creator Rovio

Japan’s Sega Sammy Property Inc. has consented to send off a proposal for Finland’s Rovio Diversion, the creator of the Furious Birds portable game, for 706 million euros ($775.8 million), the organizations said in a joint explanation on Monday.


Tokyo-based Sega will offer 9.25 euros per share for Rovio, a 19% premium over Friday’s closing price of 7.775 euros.
Rovio, which has been directing an essential survey, said on Saturday it was in talks with Sega over a potential delicate proposition. The Money Road Diary had provided details regarding Friday, indicating that an arrangement between the two organizations was inevitable.


Israeli friend Playtika had made a fundamental offer in January to purchase Rovio for 683 million euros, yet the Furious Birds producer affirmed last month talks had ended.
