Hyundai is going to spend a lot of money, about $50 billion, in South Korea over the next few years. They want to hire around 80,000 people. They want to focus on making electric cars, improving car technology, and making cars that can drive themselves. Furthermore, they also want to work on robots and new ways for people to travel in the air.
They’re hiring a lot of people to help make more electric cars and to build new factories for them. Hyundai wants to sell more than 30 different electric car models by 2030 and make 1.5 million electric cars every year in South Korea. Last year, they sold almost 700,000 cars that were electric, hybrid, or ran on fuel cells.
Hyundai’s sister companies, Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp., are also changing how they do research to focus more on making advanced cars and finding new ways for people to get around.
Other car companies, like Stellantis and Toyota, are doing similar things to make their cars better and make more money. They’re working on making cars that use more software and have better features and services that you can pay for.
