Release Date for Motorola X50 Ultra Unveiled

Motorola has announced a launch event date in China, where it will unveil the X50 Ultra smartphone. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 and will showcase the phone’s prominent AI capabilities, as disclosed by the company on Weibo. Additionally, the event will feature the introduction of new laptops integrated with AI technology.

The Moto X50 Ultra is expected to be a localized version of the Edge 50 Ultra, featuring a wood-like panel on the back and an oval camera lens for the periscope telephoto shooter. While the phones may share similarities, Motorola typically introduces minor variations for Chinese releases.

Past instances include the Moto X40 and Edge 40 Pro, which feature different lenses despite sharing the same camera sensors. Similarly, the Edge 30 Ultra offered reverse wireless charging, a feature absent in the Moto X30 Pro, while the Edge X30 boasted an under-display camera, which was excluded from the Edge 30 Pro.
