Sony is preparing to unveil its newest flagship smartphone – the Xperia 1 VI on Friday, May 17, and the latest teaser hones in on the upcoming flagship’s screen.
The Xperia 1 VI will introduce a “new display technology,” likely a revamped version of its BRAVIA engine, also featured in the 2024 lineup of BRAVIA TVs. Of notable mention, the Xperia 1 VI will shift to a more conventional 19.5:9 aspect ratio, departing from the 21:9 ratio characteristic of previous Xperia 1 models.
The anticipated panel size is 6.5 inches, with rumors suggesting a departure from the 4K resolution that has been a hallmark of the Xperia 1 series since 2019. With just three days remaining until the Xperia 1 VI launch, expect final teasers in the lead-up to Sony’s unveiling of the device.
