Reddit (RDDT.N) announced on Thursday that it has resolved an issue that left tens of thousands of users worldwide unable to access the social media platform for over 30 minutes. In an update on its status page, the company confirmed that it has implemented a fix, and the platform is now fully operational.
The outage commenced around 12:30 p.m. ET and affected nearly 70,000 users in the United States at its peak, according to Downdetector.com, a service that tracks outages by aggregating status reports from various sources, including users. Reddit users in other countries, such as the UK and India, were also impacted, as indicated by the Downdetector website.
