According to two sources familiar with the matter, OpenAI is set to reveal its artificial intelligence-powered search offering on Monday, escalating its rivalry with search leader Google.
While the exact announcement date is subject to change, it has not been previously disclosed. Reports from Bloomberg and the Information have suggested that OpenAI, backed by Microsoft, is developing a search product to potentially challenge Google, along with Perplexity, a well-funded AI search startup. OpenAI has chosen not to comment on the matter.
