WhatsApp receives a refreshed appearance and an enhanced dark mode option.

Today, WhatsApp has officially unveiled its latest design update. This rollout has been gradual, with a native bottom navigation bar being introduced on Android devices. Additionally, the app has undergone a visual refresh, with the new color scheme being selected after considering 35 different options.

WhatsApp has emphasized the use of deeper tones to alleviate eye strain in low-light environments. As part of this update, the app’s dark mode has been adjusted to a darker shade, enhancing readability for message content.

On iOS, sending photos and videos has been made more convenient with a new attachment layout. Instead of a full-screen menu, users now have access to an expandable tray, providing easier access to options when sharing media and documents.
