Sony is preparing to unveil its latest flagship smartphone – the Xperia 1 VI on Friday, May 17, with the latest teaser spotlighting the device’s display.
The Xperia 1 VI will feature a “new display technology,” likely an updated version of its BRAVIA engine, also utilized in the 2024 lineup of BRAVIA TVs. Notably, the smartphone will adopt a more conventional 19.5:9 aspect ratio, departing from the 21:9 ratio seen in previous Xperia 1 models.
Anticipated to sport a 6.5-inch panel, the Xperia 1 VI is rumored to forego the 4K resolution that has been a hallmark of the Xperia 1 series since 2019. With just three days remaining until the Xperia 1 VI launch, further teasers are expected in the lead-up to Sony’s official unveiling of the device.
