Half of the respondents expressed interest in the flagship Xperia 1 VI. The unique camera setup and notably improved battery life were particularly appealing features. However, discussions arose regarding the display resolution—some debated whether 1080p+ is sufficient for a flagship device, while others questioned the necessity of 4K on a smaller screen. Why didn’t Sony opt for a middle ground with 1440p+? Opinions vary depending on who you ask.
Despite Sony’s confirmation that the Xperia 1 VI won’t be available in the US (despite its predecessor, the Mark 5, being available there), and its absence in other regions, this doesn’t seem to be a significant concern, with only 14% of potential buyers residing in such areas.
