Samsung to Acquire British AI Startup Oxford Semantic

Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) announced on Thursday that it has agreed to acquire Oxford Semantic Technologies, a British startup specializing in advanced technology for artificial intelligence (AI) applications. The value of the deal was not disclosed. Oxford Semantic Technologies focuses on knowledge graph technology, which organizes information as an interconnected web of related concepts, mimicking human reasoning. This technology can enhance the personalization of AI applications, such as on-device AI for Samsung phones, according to the company’s statement.
