A company called Nothing, based in the UK, might be releasing new earbuds soon, possibly called the Nothing Ear 3. They hinted about it on social media, but didn’t give many details about the product or when it will come out. They posted a video teaser on X, showing a frog hopping over a black beetle. This suggests that new wireless earbuds might be on the way, with the frog possibly being the new mascot for the Ear 3. These earphones are expected to look see-through like the previous models, Ear 1 and Ear 2.
The Nothing Ear 3 has been rumored since November last year. It was expected to be announced officially in January 2024.
Nothing started its journey in July 2021 by releasing the Ear 1 wireless earbuds with a transparent design, priced at Rs. 5,999. The Ear 2, which came out in March 2022, was an upgraded version with features like active noise cancellation (ANC).
The Nothing Ear 2 earbuds are priced at Rs. 9,999 in India. They come with some notable features. Each earbud has 11.6mm speakers and three microphones. These microphones can reduce background noise by up to 40dB. The earbuds connect to devices using Bluetooth 5.3 and support various Bluetooth technologies. They are resistant to dust and water, making them suitable for different environments. Both the earbuds and the charging case have different levels of protection against dust and water. Each earbud has a small battery inside, while the charging case has a larger battery.
