Tesla is giving American customers a chance to try out Full Self Driving for one month for free.

Tesla wants more people to pay for its Full Self Driving (FSD) feature, which helps cars drive on their own.

Elon Musk, who runs Tesla, said that all customers in the U.S. can try FSD for free for a month.

Musk told Tesla workers to show off FSD to new buyers and people bringing their cars in for service.

Musk said in an email to Tesla workers that many people don’t know how well FSD works.

If more people sign up for FSD, it could help Tesla make more money because its profits are getting smaller. Some experts say FSD could bring in an extra $10 billion to $75 billion each year by 2030.

FSD and another feature called Enhanced Autopilot are extra things you can buy for Tesla cars. You can also pay a monthly fee for FSD.

Even though FSD and Enhanced Autopilot let the car do more, they’re still Level-2 autonomous driving systems. This means drivers have to pay attention and be ready to take over.

Tesla says FSD will keep getting better and cars will be able to drive with less help.

Tesla is letting some customers try out early versions of FSD. But regulators worry about the safety of Tesla’s self-driving features because there have been many crashes linked to them.
